Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when i received my transfer i was overwhelmed with joy because it was my first time to receive such amount of money that was worth solving most of problems i have been facing in my life
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
All days of my life, i have been living here in the village where there is no reliable source of income. The only source of living here is subsistence farming where most of harvests are for consumption. Therefore because of these there is high level of poverty as you can see. I have been failing to build a decent house that can withstand hearvy storm and heavy wind, but when i received the transfer my life has greatly changed because now i have bought iron sheets in preparation to build a new house. In addition to that i have bought 7 bags of maize which is enough to cover my entire family through end of this year. Therefore my daily life has greatly changed
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on iron sheets, Blankets, 7 bags of maize for food and saved some amount for other use in the near future

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am so grateful to GD for this program. I am a single mother and raising my child all by myself has been a challenge. The money is coming to my rescue. I will build a house with the money because my house is very small and leaks during rainy season. Food production has been a challenge because I don't use fertilizer. I lack money to buy fertilizer and I will buy fertilizer in preparation of the next growing season. Part of the money will also be used to buy some bags of maize.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am a happy person when I have money to support my child. This is usually after being paid from a piece work I was doing.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main problem now is food. I don't have food in my house. I have to do a piece work and use the money from piece work to buy food.
