How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I have a peace of mind and I am happy. Before, I used to have stress due to over thinking on how to make ends meet for next day, to extent of not being able to sleep at night.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well giving money directly that has enabled people to buy land, livestock, household items like clothes, mattresses, build iron sheet roofed house, and this has brought happiness among us. I don't see anything it hasn't done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer was used to complete paying for land, and buy household items like soap, utensils, a solar and food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have a lot of happines in my daily life because this year I'm going to plant enough crops and I will be able to harvest more food. Secondly my house has changed because I bought a bed and table set making my house look beautiful.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The day when got my transfer, I was in a funeral at a relatives home. I did not show any excitement due to fear that I could be waylaid by thieves. I wasn't suppose to come back home that same day but I decided to and the moment I reached home I started dancing ululating and thanking Give Directly for the transfer because it is an amazing opportunity to benefit.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have been having a small piece of land and a challange when it came to farming. So when I received my transfer I decide to hire land for a period of 3 years that I will farm on. I also bought some iron sheets which I will use to change my house from grass thatched to iron roof when I get the second transfer. I spent the remaining money for buying household items like a bed, table set and feeding.
