Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am currently sleeping in a grass thatched hut that is expensive to renovate, given the scarcity of grass in our community. However, having received money from GiveDirectly, I was in position to acquire construction materials. I intend to start the construct work in two weeks time, following the high demand of the builders in my community as many people are building with their transfers.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money, I became very happy because my plan to construct a permanent house was going to be attained.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought 16 pieces of iron sheets, 10 bags of cement, 2 trips of sands, paid for making and burning bricks.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be able to build iron-roofed house for my household. I spend money on renovating the grass thatched house yearly hence it's has become hard to save for any development. Once I receive Givedirectly transfers my priority will be to build iron-roofed house. This house will provide better shelter and also enable my household to save some money for providing other neccessities.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My favourite part of the day is afternoon hours. I complete garden work and some domestic activites ,then embark on cooking. It's normally during afternoon hours, relax under my shade feeling fresh air.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face currently is my daughter is sickly. I spend alot of money on her treatment hence it's has become challenging to do any saving in my household. Iam therefore facing serious challenge of sustaining my household needs like providingbetter health service and feeding.
