What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent 150000 KES of my third transfer on installing electricity in my home. I used 5000 KES in ploughing, I paid school fee of 12000 KES, paid a debt of 3000 KES and used the rest of the money on buying food.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have electricity in my home. I no-longer have to budget for buying paraffin daily for lighting and I also charge my phone without any challenges.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Gd does well by giving us cash and letting us decide on what to spend it on. This has enabled us improve our living standards.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to to buy Iron sheets that I used to construct a new house. My old house was leaking and almost collapsing. I used to panic a lot as it could collapse anytime. GiveDirectly just arrived on time to save me. I also bought school uniforms for my children who now dress so neat when they are leaving for school. Using the remaining amount,I bought food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my children go to school neatly dressed and when they get back home, they find something to eat.

I tried and educated my son upto form three but unfortunately he dropped out of school due to lack of school fees.
