How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I hope to see myself living in a adequate house free of risk, and have more income ressources that will increase my capabality and ability to save for future without any barriers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Honestly, when I reflecting on the good deeds of GiveDirectly, I become speecheless. GiveDierectly is doing well in supporting us to the extent we are about to leave poverty. To do better, I can suggest GiveDirectly to reach out others and help neibhoring communities who are also in critical condition of poverty.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
From the recent transfers I received, due to the fact I was in deep need to possess livestock species in order to multiplt rege, from the cash, i bought a cow on $200 and a pig on $100 as well as a sheep on $30. Honestly, I used to lack manure to improve my soil health. With cash I was able to buy all I needed including home materials and Clothes on $50. and food on $30 I also put apart some money from the transfer for saving for me to be able to keep hoping I have something that can help me at any time in the future.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I have a plan of one thing, buying a parcel in good place in which I will build a house so that I can leave here.Even when it rains, the rain pass through and reach inside and we pass all the night by standing ,we can't sleep because we are afraid that the house will be moved. That's why I can't wait to have the transfer. The parcel will cost $ 500. Building a house will cost a lot as it can reach at $1000. You understand that I will have to get the rest of money elsewhere by all means because I want to leave this place, I will have to request loan of $200 in our community saving called "Ikimina". Other activities will be done by my sons as a support, even if they don't have money but they will do the activities that I don't have money to pay for.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months there was nothing special happened to me. But if I remember the time well, in June 2022 my daughter got married and it has brought me joy. You know not everyone get the chance to have their daughter's ceremony as the majority leave their home and go directly to their husband, but for me I have received dowry for my daughter, the introduction, all the ceremonies. I was happy and proud of my daughter.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge I am facing is that I am the only one who is still living in this high risk zone, all my neighbours have shifted to other areas because of landslide. I am worried about that landslide as you can see inside my house it is always wet, reason why I wish to leave this house as early as possible I will have means. That is the one and only challenge I'm facing currently.
