How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different then if I had not received my cash transfer in that, I now have a business that will generate for me money in order to meet my daily needs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has empowered the poor communities through giving unconditional cash transfers, I do not see what they have not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer for paying rent 800,000ugx, digging a pit latrine and building worth 400,000ugx, paid a debt of 100,000ugx, I used 200,000utd for adding my stock, I used 50,000ugx for making bricks and the 83,000ugx was spent on food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have managed to buy the hair dressing bussiness equipment. My family now feeds well and its another big difference.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money I felt so happy and I told God thank you.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying saloon equipment which I intend to use for opening a business of hair dressing since I did that course.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My life is going to change because i have the skill to plait hair but i lack capital so with the GD money, i will be able to start my simple saloon and pay my children's school now that am a single mother.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When my children and i have what to eat. When my children are happy am also happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I had serious ulcers that almost took my life but i went through serious treatment sponsored by one of my brothers and now am fair.
