How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My past life was a life full of desperation and struggle. Sometimes I could go without meals and this has made me developed ulcers infection, but now my nutrition has improved unlike the past. Nowadays, I am sure of having three meals in a day which was just a dream before. At the same time, I did not have any livestock, but now I have a milking cow and some sheep.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has given the poor community opportunity to move to a certain level economically and therefore bridging the gap between the poor and the rich in the Society. I have seen people doing so many thing as per their needs demand, and as a result, many lives have been improved I not excluded. What the organization should improve on is the mechanism of making trustees and helpers who stole from the vulnerable recipients to pay through local administrative department of the areas where it operates. This is because of the cases of vulnerable recipients loosing a lot of money in the hands of these thieves. I think the culprits should be put into task to pay back the money they have looted from the poor.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying a cow, and five sheep. I did this to improve my nutrition in terms of milk, and also as monetary security though selling of my sheep in future. I used to spend a lot of money on buying milk and gee since I was recommended medically to use milk and milk products as part of my diet due to infections I was to suffering from. This will enable me to limit my financial spending on the same.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that instead of me going to look for sisal to prepare for sale, I will be able to order in large quantities from my fellow villagers and resale them at profit. The remaining balance I will use to pay to my grandchild for a motor vehicle driving course.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is usually in the evening while we are having meals together with my grandchild. Since we struggle to get food, having it together in the evening brings that great joy to us.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is having ill health, currently am having problems with my knees, I cannot walk long distance and I must walk to the market, yet the little sales I make are not enough even for food yet I need to buy medicine and visit the doctors for treatment which until now I have not been able to visit.
