How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal was to purchase a mattress for my room. I have been paying fees, focusing on my house project and others, so I decided to use a portion of my transfer to buy a suitable mattress to enable me sleep well. Notwithstanding, the remaining portion was also spent on additional zinc for my house and a bag of rice.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has helped us in so many ways, they have lifted us from the dust and that which I'm grateful for. My issue is that they don't accept gifts from us, but they are cool tho.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My recent transfer was spent on Mattress, zinc, and food for my household.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I'm overwhelmed.I felt very excited seeing that kind of money on my phone. At first,I did not believe that the GiveDirectly program was real until they distributed the phones in our town. My children have been out of school because there's no money to pay their fees. Receiving money that I didn't have to do any work for made me so excited and I'm grateful to God. I can now say my children will be in school and we will have a better life hopefully.

These things has been the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Things have been a bit difficult for my family. My husband is a farmer and our family expenses has been on him alone. The last school year my children didn't go to school because we didn't have enough money to pay their fees. I'm extremely excited that I got enrolled in this program.I used some of my last transfer to pay my children school fees. I also bought a brand new Mattress and I'm saving a little amount of my transfer. When I get the rest of the transfers I will add it to what I have and start to build a house for my family. I'm so grateful to GiveDirectly for this opportunity. Now I can be of assistance to my husband and our lives will improve for the better.
