How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan was to build a decent house with zinc roof. My husband and I along with our children have been living in a thatch house for over ten years now. We have been finding it very difficult in changing the thatch roof over our house. The house leaks during the raining season. My husband and I do farming to sustain our family. The little money generated from the farm and from my husband's hunting is not enough to buy zinc and change the thatch roof. When I received my transfer from GiveDirectly, I used portion of it to buy gasoline to saw the planks I am going to use on my house. I also use portion of the transfer to buy food and I bought some clothes because my clothes are all old. I'm waiting for my remaining transfers to buy all other materials that are needed for the completion of the house. I'm so happy for such help from GiveDirectly because the money have help me to be able to change my house roof from thatch to zinc roof.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly have done very well by visiting all household in the our town and also during the time they were determining the eligibility of people. This show to me that GiveDirectly is very much fair during the enrolment processes. Therefore, due to this reason I don't really think that there is nothing that is not done well by GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have never been able to generate such amount of money since I was born. I have also been struggling to get money and change the roof of my house but there have been no way out because of the hardship I'm going through. Due to this, when I receive my transfer, I decided to use portion of it to buy gasoline to saw the planks and I'd bought some clothes. All my clothes are very old. I also bought food to feed my children and those that will be building my house. I saved another portion of my transfer which is $20,000.00LRD to pay the workers that are going to build my future house that I have long been planning to build.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was overwhelmed seeing that kind of money on my phone. This is a very generous opportunity to improve my life. I have always wanted to build a new house because of the condition of my current house. The house I currently live in is very old and it leaks.Unfortunately I didn't have the money to do so but with GiveDirectly program I know my life will be better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that we now have enough food to eat.Unlike before,we eat one time a day and we wont have any other food to eat until the following day. I'm also excited that I will be living in a new house with a better roof and I wont have to worry about rats putting holes in the roof. All thanks and appreciation to GiveDirectly for this gift.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
GiveDirectly has brought smiles on my face. I'm so excited.Life before GiveDirectly came to our village was difficult for my family and myself. Upon receiving the transfer I paid for few bundles of zinc to build a new house. I also used some of the money to buy a bag of rice and some other food items. I saved the rest to add up when I receive the balance transfers to pay the contractors. Thank God our lives about to improve.
