Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was some part of December before the Christmas season, I went to teach my students in the Arabic school within that time I received an alert on my phone. However, I decided to ask one of my students to help me read my message because I can not read and write English. Upon reading the message, he told me that GD has sent my transfer. I felt very happy at that moment because I needed money to renovate the house I'm living In but I could not afford the cost. Moreover, my wife and I have some health issues and we have been struggling to treat ourselves as well.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before I could start receiving my transfer, I have been surviving on farming. I have to work hard to earn money on my own compared to now and I'm grateful to GD for being a blessing to us because they have made me regain my hope.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used portion of my transfer to treat my wife and I and I'm planning to renovate my house with the balance.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Upon receiving this cash, I want to renovate my house and provide foods for my family.
I'm getting older, since my wife and myself got married, we have not bear a child. We raise other people children just to take that disgrace from our face.
So, upon receiving this cash, I will take my wife to a renown hospital to know the actual cause of the problem. Myself, I'm not too well, at times, I can feel a heat coming out of my body. I have gone to nearby Clinic but no answer.
I feel that this is the right time that this money come, so to help my wife and myself by going to a good hospital for a proper checkup.
And our spending of this cash is to used some of the money for our house and the balance will be used to treat my wife and myself.
What is the happiest part of your day?
One of the most happiest things that have happened in my life are:
First, my wife and myself, since we got married, its brings joy to our life, we were happy, because, she is always willing to listen and abide by everything I say to her.
She has not complain, nor fault with me, at home or in the street on any differences, that makes me happy.
And lastly, the present of Givedirectly, giving me cash to build my family, and I can assure them that this money will be used to meet these needs. That make my wife and myself the most happiest person in this village.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge that I'm faced is my wife. She can't bear a child, at the end every body in the village calls her all types of name.
I'm teaching people children Arabic and I can't see my own of child amongst them, it brings high feelings to me.
This is one of the major challenges that I'm faced with. And myself, I want to go for medical treatment, because of what I'm faced, some time, my body is most often hot, and it can also be walking in my chest, sometime at my back, its drown my body down.
