How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
After I received the transfer, I thought on buying eight bags of rice and, six packs of battery to start my new business, so I can be able to sustain my family and I. Because I feel this will help us greatly in achieving other things that will be good for us.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly can help people financially, for them to be able to improve they and their family lives, to minimize poverty. By building decnte house and supporting their children in school. GiveDirectly don't expect anything like food, water etc from people.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I would build a decent house for my children and myself in the city so that they can have a better life. Most of the schools in my town and surrounding villages do not extend to Junior and Senior High. So, it's difficult for me to have them transfered to the city. But with this cash transfer, there will be a great solution to my children's education becuase I will surely have all of them enrolled into standard schools!"
What is the happiest part of your day?
"For me, nothing good has happened for me in the past six months. I'm not happy at the moment because, atbthe end of November in 2021, my older sister took sickness and became paralyzed afterwards. Around the same time, my sister who's next to me son was involved in a terrible accident that affected his left leg. In the process of trying to have his leg fix, it got worse and his left leg has gotten smaller than the right leg. All of these problems are serious for my family and it's a huge burden for anyone to be faced with."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Three of my children are staying away in the city with some of my family members but their support still comes from me. It's really hectic for me becuase I also have other children staying with me. Money is a serious issue for my husband and myself. Therefore, my children are not attending the schools of my choice which is giving them substandard education. My current house has become old now and its location is in the village. It's a challenge for me becuase I would love to be in another structure somwhere in the city planning a better life for myself but it seems impossible because of low resources."
