How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Life is different in that, I not only have enough food but I can choose from varieties what I want to eat. This is something that never happened in the past. I can also settle hospital bills with much more ease as compared to before where I was forced to seek for help from relatives and friends.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The goals we have as a family is to ensure that the solar system that was installed and is being paid in installments has been finished. Then I also have a personal goal of rearing poultry to ensure that there is income in my household.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily is that I can constantly place food on my table. This is was never a guarantee. We used to struggle as a household to ensure food was placed on the table.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I desire to have finished paying the installments that were pending for the solar system and God willing I will have started rearing poultry as an IGA for my household.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because l am able to buy enough food for my family as compared to before when putting food on the table was a very big challenge .
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to start poultry keeping as my future investment. I am planning to sell them in future and start cattle farming which will be more profitable.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that since I started receiving money from give directly I now have hope in life in that I can not go without food because I can always go to any shop and get basic need and once I get the money I always pay, as compare to before when I could take even the whole day without eat. I am also feeding well I do not depend on one type food through out. I am also able to working on my farm with ease because I do spend the money to hire people to work on my farm.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect to have started my poultry keeping as my investment. Once they have mature I will sell them and spend the money to start cattle farming which is more profitable.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have realized some progress in my life in that, I am able to have various sources of income, and as a result, my life has improved in terms of nutrition, investment, and social status in society.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a goal of starting a poultry keeping. This I hope could do well because I will be using maize chuff for feeding the chicken. At the same time, the birds will be providing me with guano manure for soil fertility.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I am capable of doing my work as planned without financial hindrance. Before that, even buying fertilizer for planting was not easy and this could lead to not planting at the onset of the rain, hence poor harvest.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
As I have quoted earlier, there is a plan in place to start poultry keeping project and purely local breed, this is easy to manage because they are resistant to diseases. I have realized the demand for chickens in local hotels in the region and this will help me fetch more money to sustain the family even after the end of the program. Now I eat the meals which are necessary for my body and payment of fees is easy unlike before when I could walk to relatives to look for financial support.

My life is currently different from the way it was four months ago in that currently, I'm not worried anymore on how to raise money for meeting most of my needs.

For the next four months of my life, I have an additional goal of saving some money in Mshwari so that after some months I can be able to qualify for a loan from them.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is the peace I have knowing that I can easily and comfortably meet my needs. This has given me a feeling of independence.

In the next six months, I expect to have bought some livestock for rearing.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to plan ahead with the guarantee of getting money from GiveDirectly every end month.

I expect my life to change for the better given that I am planning to start a fish mongering business to help me sustain my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life currently different from how it would have been had I never received these transfers in that their is more understanding between me and my spouse. We used to quarrel a lot because we depended on each other and sometimes the other could feel pressurized to fend for the family. That is no longer the case.

My new goal is to save this money I am receiving so that I will be able to repair my house that is not in good condition.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is lack of money to improve my farming activities, due to this I have been just cultivating a small potion of land, and yield are also low because am not able to use fertilizer to get more produce.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening when we are having supper with my husband as we talk about our past live and plan on how we can improve in our future farming since its the only our income.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Am planning to spend my transfer on investing in poultry farming and repair my house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I have been able to save through table banking and managed to spend my savings to start a poultry farming as a business which was my only source of income.
