How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life is different in that I have a peace of mind since it has enabled me acquire items I had hoped to have like land. Before, I couldn't afford to have more land and meet other costs like ploughing gardens, pay hospitals bills.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well giving money directly that has enabled people build houses, send children to school, buy livestock and this has brought happiness among households. Then it has very disciplined and respectful staff. There's nothing it hasn't done well, except I feel the total amount sent is not enough.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer was spent to buy oxen plough, complete paying for land bought, bought school requirements for the children, Gnuts seeds, and paid debts.
