How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Prior to receiving these transfers, I didn't have cows of my own but when I got money from GiveDirectly, I managed to purchase 2 cow that will produce milk which is going to boost my children's immunity and the cows will help me with my children's education in future. In addition, I have got 2 pieces of land which Iam going to cultivate untillmy money is paid back. These pieces of land will increase my hearvest unlike before when I suffered from food shortage because cultivated on one piece of land.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that I spent for acquiring cows and land. GiveDirectly has not done bad on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase a cow, paid off a debt, a fine, medical treatment, gifts and lent out UGX 400,000 in exchange of a piece of land.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I am going to buy some piece of land for agriculture. We are currently having just one that does not allow me have enough food in my home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is the afternoon when I get back from the garden. I like sitting with my mother-in Law who has a lot of stories to tell, that makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing is limited land for agriculture. In the one acre I have, we do alot of intercropping to try and have a variety. Some times the crops do not do very well and hence food insecurity in my household.
