Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the first transfer message, I was very much excited to the extent that I cried tears of joy because this transfer came as prayer answered. For the passed 2 years I started building my house, I couldn't finish the project due to lack of money. I had no source of income to complete the house project. For this reason, I was mocked and laughed at by my neighbours and others. Happily, this transfer came as total financial freedom for me that will now be use to complete my house. With this transfer from GiveDirectly, I am forever grateful.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, my husband and I have been jobless for so long. For this reason, we have been struggling very hard to take care of our daily needs. Wonderfully, with this transfer I was able to buy some building materials such as woods, roofing nail and some bags of cement. Henceforth, I have now started a little business with the remaining money that will be a source of income for my family and I. I am very excited to be a beneficiary of this unique opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving payment from GiveDirectly, because of the burning desired to continue with my house project to completion, most of my recent transfer was spend on the purchasing building materials, such as woods, roofing nail and cement. Furthermore, the remaining money was spend on buying goods to start a little business that will be a source of income for me that even when GiveDirectly leaves our town I'll now become an independent and self-employed woman. Many thanks and appreciation to GD for this life changing opportunity.
