What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving this money feels like a long-awaited miracle after enduring years of hardship and insecurity. One of my biggest dreams has been to construct a permanent structure for my business, as the current iron sheet structure is vulnerable to thieves. I have already taken the first step by purchasing bricks, and these cash transfers will enable me to buy the remaining construction materials needed to build a secure space to protect my stock. With the remaining funds, I plan to buy food for my family and pay school fees for my children, ensuring their education continues uninterrupted. This support is a transformative blessing, bringing hope and stability to my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My small business has been a source of great joy and fulfillment for me. It has given me a purpose and the ability to support my family, rather than sitting idle at home. Since starting the business, my life has transformed significantly, and I can see a tremendous positive change. This progress brings me immense happiness and makes my life more pleasant and meaningful every single day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge I am facing is the lack of a stable source of income to meet my family's basic needs. I rely on my small business as the backbone of our livelihood, using its modest earnings to pay school fees for my two children in high school and to support a family of seven. This responsibility weighs heavily on me, as the income is often insufficient to cover all the necessities, leaving us in a constant struggle to make ends meet.
