How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving my transfer from GiveDirectly, I always had the desired to built a house for my family. I am a mother of three boys ages ranging from 4years to 10years. Presently, we are living in my uncle's house, sharing the same bedroom with my boys had been a serious and embarrassing issue for me. For this reason, since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly , I decided to built a house of our own in order to provide space and privacy for all of us. I have not developed any new goal until my planned is accomplished. However with my recent transfer, I used some and bought four gallons of gasoline for the sawing machine. The remaining money will be spend on paying the contractors.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has been doing well from the beginning of this program and continue to do more. All our dreams that seen impossible all through the years is coming to pass all because of GiveDirectly financial assistance. With the heart of gratitude, I say trumps up for job well done. Truly speaking I have not seen or heard wrong done by GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving my first two transfers, With my desired and hope of building my own house to create a comfortable and spacious place for us as family, I used some of the money and bought four gallons of gasoline for the sawing machine. Furthermore, I used a portion of the money to pay the wood sawer to saw planks for the roof, doors and windows. Furthermore, the remaining money will be spend on paying the contractors. With the level of changes taking place in my daily life since I started receiving payment from I feel so excited on the daily basis. I so thankful to GiveDirectly for this life changing opportunity.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I want to focus on my previous goal which is my house project for now.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly does everything well, I don't know of anything that they don't do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My recent transfer was spent on additional building materials (zinc, nail, plank etc) to fast track my building project and the remaining portion was spent on my children fees and provisions for my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I received my money. I was one of the last in my town to receive transfer from GiveDirectly after going through the registration peocess. I felt so sad when others received theirs. My husband is a commercial motorcycle rider. Our family burden is on him alone. Things have been a bit difficult for us. I'm so grateful that I got enrolled in the GiveDirectly cash program. Our family will not be poor anymore. I was so excited when I received my money. I am grateful to God for this opportunity.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly is that I can now afford to eat on time. I'm not stressed anymore. I feel a bit relaxed. Our lives will improve for the better. So thankful for that. GiveDirectly has put smiles on our faces and we are so excited and grateful to God.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Things have been a bit difficult for my family.My husband is a commercial motorcycle rider. Our family burden is on him alone. I used to make business but it wasn't going so well. My business collapsed. My children was sent home from school because we couldn't afford to buy their uniforms and some other school materials. Its a privilege being on this program. I was so excited when I received my transfer. I have been a bit busy but when I withdraw my money, I want to buy zinc to build my house. I will also use the rest to buy my children school uniforms and other materials. My children will now have a brighter future.
