How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal I set before receiving this transfer is to finish my house I am building . I want to purchase additional one bundle of zinc and three cartoons of assorted zinc nails to complete my house. I am a responsible man but building my own house had been a challenge for me due to hardship.I am currently living in my relative house with my family. Thanks to Givedirectly for extending helped to our community. I believe that with Givedirectly kind gesture to me through cash , I will soon own a house in this village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is actually helping the poor in Liberia through direct cash supports. Givedirectly has brought biggest surprised ever in the history of this village. Through Givedirectly direct cash supports , Many recipients are building zincs houses , while others are improving their houses. I really appreciate Givedirectly for the great jobs carried out in this village . There is no gap for now in Givedirectly implementation.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spend my most recent transfer to buy one bundle of white 32 gage zinc along with three cartoons of assorted zinc nails to continue with my building process. My son was sent out of classes for tuition payment. I spent part of my transfer to pay his school fees .Thanks to God for Givedirectly cash supports. I am over happy for the great help Givedirectly did for me. I believe that with receiving cash transfer from Givedirectly, my dreamed to build a house will soon come to pass.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal I have before receiving this transfer is to purchase 6 cartoons of assorted nails to start roofing my house immediately . I am Planning to roof my house with a Jemican design. Jemican house roof design has been admired by me for years but I couldn't afford cash to roof my house in that design. Thanks to Givedirectly for surprising me with free cash. I believe that with my transfer, I am going to build a decent house in this village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is really doing well in recipients lives. Since birth, I have never saw any organization that give out money free to community without any condition attached to the usage. Thanks to Givedirectly for the brilliant idea to help eradicate poverty in Liberia. Through Givedirectly cash transfers to families, many recipients lives have started to improve. In terms of improvement area for Givedirectly, I recommend that Givedirectly work closely with towns and villages in a particular district that has been selected for implementation to aviod bad feelings.

I am planning to spend my most recent transfer to buy 6cartoons of assorted nails to roof my house with a Jemican design. Jemican roof design will looks very attractive in this community .Thanks to Givedirectly for the the cash support.I am Planning to purchase used clothes bag to start selling them at for good prices in this village . I don't want to encounter any hardship in the future. I believe that by selling used clothes in this village, I will generate more money to continue with my house building process.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sitting at the network center, hoping and stirring at my phone. I dedicated all my time searching my phone to see massage from Givedirectly. Fortunately for me late in the evening, my phone alarmed. I was excited until i slipped and fell from the hill. My foot got wounded, up to present am still in pain and hoping to hospital.Am so grateful for this great opportunity in my life. I attended the NVTC vocational training institute in Monrovia. I study general construction, but since then, there has been no job to do. Because of the financial constraint that i was fixed with, i had to moved back to my parents in the village where I make farm and cut contracts to survive. Am so happy to Givedirectly for the great help.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life since i started receiving money from Givedirectly is, am able to have a comfortable sleep. Because i bought a very thick mattress which i never had before.i have been living in tech house for the past 15 years. But with the help of Givedirectly am able to put zinc over my house. Farming has been the only source of livelihood for me. At times i take contracts from people and they sometimes paid me a thousand Liberian dollars. I'm glad that am contributing to my village by doing some free construction work for them. At certain point of my life, i was frustrated until i got myself into some bad company which let me to smoking. My life is changing gradually because of GiveDirectly. I now have breakfast and meal twice a day. Am planning of establishing a business that will enable me to substain my children and also supply my community at a lower rate.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The money i received from Givedirectly, i used part it to buy three bundle of zinc to chang my roof. I was able to buy a 12inches mattress for $65 united states dollars. I used the balance money to go for my wife in Buchanan. I wife left the house because i couldn't afford money to give her to do business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan to build a good house for my grandmother and I. We have been living in a mud structur covered with palmtatches for a so long and when every it rains, it becomes so terrible for us sleep.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The most joyful day in my life in the last 6 months is today. This is a first of it kind to see this great opportunity and I pray that I received this money so I can give my grandmother a better life before God called her.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I'm faced with currently is money I believe when i get money, all my problems( Building a decent home for my grandmother and I ) will be solved.
