Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited and joyful. There has been hunger in our village so these funds have helped us to transition properly in this farming season with enough food on our plates. We are now eating 3 times a day than in the past.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
What I am most grateful for is the good house that is about to be built. I never dreamt of ever sleeping in an iron sheet roofed house. Staying in a good home is everyone's priority so I know my problems are now being dealt with.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I got the money the first thing that was on my mind was a good house. So I resorted to buying materials first such as iron sheets, wood planks among others so that when the rainy season is over, I should build one. The other money went towards buying household utensils, food and keeping some for daily use.
