How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal I have set before receiving this transfer is to invest my last transfer into business. I have decided to buy one used Motorbike for commercial purpose. I want to start running traffic to generate more money to pay my children school fees. Thanks to Givedirectly for the cash support. I believe that with my transfer from Givedirectly, my times of struggle are now over.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is really doing well. Givedirectly offered phones to everyone in this Community. Givedirectly staffs are well trained and able to talk to people. Givedirectly staffs do not accept gifts from community. There is no system in Givedirectly that needs to be improved.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my most recent transfer to buy one used motorbike for traffic. I am grateful to Givedirectly for the cash support. I have been undergoing serious hardship in this village due to lack of money. It has been challenge for me to even provide meal for my family.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to improve my current house roof by removing the thatch and replacing it with zinc. I also bought additional bundles of zinc to start the construction of a new house because this one I currently in with my family has limited rooms for stranger accommodation. I am so grateful to GiveDirectly for coming to my community with this great help.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well by giving us the money and leaving us as recipients to decide how to use it. In this way I will be able to prioritize what I want to do first. Moreover, whenever GiveDirectly enters the community to register, all the houses in the town were visited to determine eligible households. This way no household was left out except the household rejects to be enrolled into the program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Through the transfer I was able to buy zinc, nails, and gasoline. I am going to use the gasoline to saw planks for the construction of my new house. Besides, the roof of my house I am currently in with my family leaks everytime when the rain falls. Often times I am forced to change the position of my bed and that of my children's.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The first time I received my first transfer it was like a dream. I was at my house doing some other issues. when I heard people saying that a give directly transfer has come I quickly ran to the network area to check out mine. I appreciate this organisation for its support towards me and my family. I was living on farming just to survive. It has been very hard for me to build a new house with zinc.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that I'm about to have a house with zinc. all of my children are in school and our daily meal has changed now. However, I'm glad that this organisation can into my life.

A huge of my will be used on my house project. some will be used for my children's tuition. I'm also thinking about starting a business. I just bought two bundles of zinc to start with my house project. I also bought some provisions for the house.

"My current challenge is lack of finance. My family is growing and we live in a one room house. I need bigger place that will have space for my children but I can't afford money to build such".
