How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
With all of the money i received from givedirectly including the recent transfer, i bought construction materials to build a decent house with zinc, clothes for the entire family, paid my children last school year fees and this coming school year fees with part of the transfer and save the balance to pay the contractors. I am so grateful because, my life is now better than before. Thanks to givedirectly for the gift.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I appreciate Givedirectly for the money. Every process went well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With the last transfer, i bought some of my construction materials and was able to paid my children school fees also saved the balance money to pay the contractors. I am happy because my life have changed .I can now rest before going to the farm to get my family support. No more stress. Thanks to givedirectly for the money.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I didn't have any new goals. I old goal was to complete my children tuition. I have been working as the principle in our local school. Even though I am not on Government payroll, the parents put a little amount together at the end of every month to compensate me. That compensation is not enough. I can harldy afford my children tuition. Things started to get a little difficult for my family. Henceforth, decided to do farming in other to assist with our family needs. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity. Hopefully our lives will get better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has not done anything unwell. I was worried at some point to pay my children tuition. I could not afford it. Then came GiveDirectly with its amazing cash program. My life has changed for the best. I am so grateful for this.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I haven't withdrawn my money. WhenbI do, am anning on paying my children balance tuition. I am also planning on buying a bag of rice and some other food items. I also o grateful for this opportunity.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Firstly I'm so thankful to GiveDirectly for making my dream come to passed. My plan was to build my own house in my village. But I never had money to accomplish my plan. I'm a farmer. Before than I used to farm the whole day just to get money to paid my children school fees . To even get food for my family used to be very difficult for me. But I'm grateful to Givedirectly that I was enrolled on this program. My life has changed for the better. My new goal is to extend my building with additional rooms.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion givedirectly did very well in my life and that of our village. Givedirectly was able to enrolled our entire village on the program. Givedirectly has changed our entire village with so many new houses. Givedirectly has empowered our families with financial support. There's nothing that givedirectly hasn't done well.

When I received my transfer I was able to paid my children school fees. I bought enough foodstuff for my family. I also bought two (2)bundle of zinc that cost $25,200 LD. The rest of the money I was able to pay workmanship.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I went to visit my family in the next village when I sat infront of the house and right there, i received my mobile money alert on my phone. I was much excited at the moment. My life have started improving with the transfer GiveDirectly help me with. I thank God that I have money to build a home with Zinc.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Since I received the money, i am now stress free because my children are school. My life is getting better than before. I am happy since I received the money. Thanks to GiveDirectly for giving me money.

With this transfer from GiveDirectly, i was able to buy two bundles of Zinc and paid my children balance school fees.My source of livelihood had been making cassavah farm to sustain the family and the amount generated could not fully take care every things in my household. My focus had been paying school fees and food. But now, with the transfer, my life is getting better.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I am living in my in-laws' house with my family and as such not free to do things my will. I have already acquired a land from the community people to build my own house. Therefore, if I receive this cash transfer I will use some to build by house and used the balance to start a business for my spouse".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"It was in September 2021 that I remembered been happy; my wife give birth to our girl child. I was happy like never before".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"I am a voluntary teacher and my family depends on me for survival. I don't have enough money to provide their needs and the school work doesn't allow me to do other works that I will generate income from. Therefore, my current challenge is lack of finance.
