How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving my recent transfer, I never had a thought of buying a plot of land. Now with this transfer, I decided and bought a piece of land in Buchanan city for my children. Furthermore, I used a portion of the money and bought four cups of paint to paint my house. I am very excited that my life and living condition had changed for the better since GiveDirectly came in my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done a tremendous job for us the needy. This is my first time to received such a huge amount of money that had help me and my family lives to improved greatly. Our lives are now full with so much excitement for this financial opportunity. Truly speaking I have not seen anything wrong done by GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Since GiveDirectly came into my life with this great financial favour, my life had since been full with so much joyed. I never thought about ever buying a piece of land in the city for the future of my children. Happily, with my recent transfer I used a good portion of the money and bought a parcel of land in the city. Moreover, I bought four cups of paint to paint my house using a balance of my transfer. How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan have been renovating my deplorable house. My house have been damaged and leaking for the past six years and I have not been able to renovate it due to poverty. I am a farmer. Things have been very thought on me and my family. However, GiveDirectly unconditional cash transfer have brought a great relief to my generation.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
God will continue to bless GiveDirectly. This is my first time receiving such huge amount from an entity. They have done extremely well for me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I'm planning to buy six bags of cement and household utensils. I will buy food and invest in agriculture.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal for this transfer is to invest in my farming process. I want to invest in cash crops so that I can be able to sustain my family and I.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly does everything good, I don't know of anything that they don't do well. They are indeed a blessing to lives.

My transfer was spent on my farming process, I bought some seeds for planting and paid some people to clear my farm and help me do some planting. A portion of the transfer went on my children education, and the rest was spent on food, and some materials like, dresser, radio and solar lamp for my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a daily routine for us to check our phones everyday to see whether transfer had been sent. On a Friday morning, I decided to go about my normal routine, by checking, then I noticed that my transfer has been sent. I was so very happy and I started singing.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My children fees has been a huge burden on me, most especially my oldest son who is coming out of high school this year, thank God for Give Directly who have made me a proud father.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two tin of green paint to paint my zinc to prevent it from rusting. I use portion of the money to pay for my oldest son fees since he is coming out of high school this year. I also use portion of it to buy provisions, and a bag of rice, some of the money was kept for workmanship and upkeep.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My wife and I will pay our children school fees and renovate our house when we get our transfer. If there be any left afterwards we'll do business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Hearing about GD transfer now brought me great joy than I have experienced in a while. I'm grateful to Givedirectly for all she does and will continue to do.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My children fees are my serious challenge now. One of them is suppose to graduate from high school this academic year but getting him to start is my worry.
