How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because I was able to buy my motorcycle that is now supporting me financially. I now feed, dress appropriately and I offer transport services to my community since this was a problem in the area. In addition to this, the boda boda service that I offer keeps me busy as compared to before when yes, I had to farm but later I would be ideal sitting with my peers who actually could not give developmental ideas.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by helping people in my community financially. To me, it has enabled me get my motocycle that is now helping me to support myself. On the other hand, there is absolutely nothing wrong that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer Ugx 1632000 to add up with part of my first transfer to buy a motorcycle.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy a piece of land that will support my farming activity. I would love to do cultivation but I do not have land to support that. Getting even just food alone has not been easy for me. I am hopping that with the coming of these GiveDirectly transfers, my problem will be solved.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am playing football with fellow youths in the village. This relaxes my mind.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is poverty. I have never been in position to own a piece of land because I do not have resources to facilitate that. I have always been faced with a problem of food shortage simply because I do not have where to cultivate. This makese to do casual labour most of the time as away of trying to atleast meet my basic needs.
