Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy the moment I was informed that I had received money from GiveDirectly. Receiving this money made me know that my life wil not be the same again.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now feed well unlike before. This is because my family now has enough food amd we rarely buy most of the thing. I was able to stock some food that will still last my family for some days using part of the transfer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the money I received from GiveDirectly to buy a dairy cow. I settled on this so that I can have a source of income. I will be using my income from milk sales to gather for my daily needs. I spent the remaining amount on food and other household necessities to last my family for some time.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be able to add one more cow to the one I already have.I intend to buy a dairy cow so that through milk sale will earn an income. In my age,I cannot do any farm jobs and this means that I fully depend on my grandchildren for food and other needs.I will relieve some of this burden on them if I can have an income of my own
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening. The days are uncertain and when you are dependent on other people,it is difficult to know whether you will get food forthat day.In the evening,my grand children take turns to provide for me food and this makes me happy
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is insufficient food. The weather patterns have drastically changed and our common food crop here which is maize is no longer productive. This is the fourth year now without a harvest and because I do not have an income that can enable me buy food,I have had to be dependent on the rest of my family
