What does receiving this money mean to you?
Should I be qualified to receive money from Givedirectly, I intend to use the money for school fees because my mother had been unable to pay for my school fees since I dropped from school when I got promoted to the 8th Grade and became pregnant. It has been three years now since my aunt that was paying my school fees stopped because of my pregnancy, I have not been to school, and that it has been my dream to continue my education should anyone be able to help me. However, by being enroll in the GD program today makes me feel that my dream will come true because of the opportunity given me to be enroll. Secondly, my boy friend has been doing his best but the little he can get cannot pay my school fees and at the same time cater to our daughter. This had made it even more difficult for me to go back to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What had made me happy in the past six months is when I get food and money to take care of myself and my daughter. Two weeks ago, my daughter got seriously sick and that I didn't had any money to take her for treatment at the clinic. However, my mother provided me with small cash to take the child for treatment. That alone makes me very happy because my mother was able to help me meet my child's health needs and reduce my stress.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest difficulty that has faced me is money to pay for my school fees and cater to my daughter. Right now, I'm not doing anything of my own, that is, any business or farming activity that will give me money because I am a baby mam. Only my boyfriend can try to help me at times when God bless him with carpentry contracts. But the little he brings in is not enough to pay for my school fees and provide food for me and my daughter. Therefore, if I am bless to get money from Givedirectly it will really change my life by helping me go back to school and cater to my daughter.
