How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now, My mind is relaxed and I feel happy because I sleep in an iron roofed house. Healthwise, I am feeling better having got good medication with the transfer. Before, I was sleeping in a hut that was leaking and I could sit at night at a coner of the house when it is raining to take shelter.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give unconditional cash directly to the beneficiaries hence reducing fraud risks. They did their own investigation to establish the residents of the village. What GiveDirectly has done is good but this help was not sufficient enough for every one because of differences in the poverty levels. I would suggest that they increase the amount of money or continously us more money if the GiveDirectly budget allows.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying cement, a door, two windows and for paying labour to complete my house construction. I bought curtains, a blanket, bed sheets and food. I spent UGX 200,000 for treatment, paid a debt of UGX 120,000.

The moment I received my money, I felt happy. This money is too much that I had to involve my helper in planning.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent part of my first transfer to buy two trips of sand four trips of bricks. I am saving up some of my transfer that I will use to buy more building materials, food, and pay the laborers when they start the construction work.
