What does receiving this money mean to you?
I want to send my children to school and to do my small market. The reason I say I want to send my children to school is,I did not go to school to learn any book. After my parents died I went to live with my aunty, She did not have the time for my education.I was kept home to do all the house jobs and today I can't even read or write. Every day I wake up from bed I try looking for something to do just to raised money for my children to be educated and also to sell.I can see some of my friends in our village here who during Christmas their children comes with lots of gift, do know the reason because they send their children to school and today the same children is looking after them. So as soon I get this money, all my children will go to the Mission school and I know that one day they will come back with gifts to visit me. That my whole plan there for this money. Education and getting my self a good business so I can stopped working on the farm.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Now for the last six months I can say with all the problems I am still happy, reason is that I spend ten thousand just to make my beniseed farm I worked on that farm tirelessly but now I am harvesting and the money I have generated from the sale is almost to the amount I spend and more is still there to harvest. When I go on the farm every morning I smile with so much joy because I am reaping what I sow.I am grateful for this and very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Getting food and money during the rainy season is my current challenge. I wake up early in the morning to get in the bush, cut baboons to weave basket. The basket I sell some and the rest of it I carried it on the water every day to set it, any thing I catch from there can be sold and the little be left for eating. But when the rain gets heavy no way to get out, by that time the hunger can almost want to kill us. No more selling now because I can't go on the water again so I focus on my farming work to plant crops just to keep the children and myself moving on. Getting food and money money now is my current problem I see that I have.
