How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal set before receiving this transfer is to break down the current house I live due to the deplorable conditions. Though, my previous planned has been to improve my house roof but I thought it necessary to rebuild the entire house because of the deplorable conditions . My husband died last year and I have been the only source of income for the family. Thanks to Givedirectly for empowering me financially. I believe that with my transfer, I am going to live in a decent house in this village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is really impacting the lives of families positively. Through Givedirectly direct cash support to families, many vulnerable recipients who lost hopes completely due to the lost of their loves ones have been restored. For area of improvement for Givedirectly , I have recommend that if Givedirectly selected a particular district to implement their project in , every village or town in that district should benefits the transfers to aviod bad feelings.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spend the most recent transfer to purchase 2bundles of zinc to roof my house. I also paid contractors to start cutting stick in the bush to start building. I have been sleeping on mat for years in my room due to hardship and my children have been challenged with food issues in this Village, I used some of my transfer to buy one 21inches mattress for my room and buy half bag of rice for the home. Thanks to Givedirectly for coming to my aid. I believe that through Givedirectly kind gesture, my suffering will soon come to an end.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in my village watching clothes when I received a message with a huge amount of money in it. I was very much happy and dancing all over the town. I was happy because I haven't seen people giving money to people free with out paying back in Liberia. Right away I started calculating how to used my money.

Before than I never had money to provide food and shelter for my family. I had to work very hard for people on their farms before getting food to eat. But now I'm grateful to Givedirectly that I can provide food for my family without working for people. My children eats twice a day now, I'm grateful to God
