How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The greatest change that I have witnessed is that the GiveDirectly cash transfers made it possible for me to complete the construction of my house. Previously, I was thinking alot on how to complete my house because I did not have any income generating activity. I am grateful that GiveDirectly has empowered me to this stage.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In .my opinion, GiveDirectly is the only charity organization that sends money to the poor directly. They also sensitize people on the various ways of spending their cash transfers. On the other hand, I have not witnessed any wrongs that GiveDirectly has committed.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I am planning to purchase cement, sand, bricks. iron rods, wire mesh, iron sheets, nails for the construction of a ventilated pit latrine.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am a stress free person because I nolonger over think on how to fit doors and Windows to my house. The imagination now is that, I will be receiving monthly rental fees from my house which will be a source of sustainable support to my household.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Receiving my first cash transfer came with a lot of excitement because I had taken every long time without fitting doors and Windows to my house. The cash transfer I received relieved me off stress that I had been in for so long.

I spent my cash transfer worth UGX 1,700,000 for shuttering my commercial house that I intend to use for business in order to generate monthly income.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is a means of helping my self to get enough money to help me to complete construct my house which am building in the trading center for rentals.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is evening hours ,especially when am eating a balance diet of meat in my family. It makes the whole family including my self to be part of that happy hour.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship which I face in my life is sickness because i don't have enough money to help me to afford better health services .
