Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was surprise when i received my transfer. This is my very first experience with an NGO sending me this huge amount of money free of charge. I'm so happy about this money because life wasn't fine with me and my family. I really want to tell GiveDirectly thanks for this great opportunity they have given us. I'm able to paid my children school fees for this calender school year and I'm also even thinking of starting a new business. Things are getting a little bit better. I see a lot of opportunities just from this initial transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is the daily satisfactione that I have. The joy I see in my kids every morning haven't known that their school fees has been paid and all of their school materials has been bought. I feel so satisfied when I can wake up every morning knowing that I have something to sustain me and my family after this program. The satisfaction that I have is the biggest difference in my daily life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to buy two bundles of zinc and also started a small business. My children school fees has also been fully paid. Due to the current hardship, I have decided to start a small business that will help sustain my family after this program. In the past, it was a challenge for me to take proper care of my children. Our living conditions were so uncomfortable. Many days I would wake up thinking of my children's future. Their education and wellbeing was my concern but with this little business, I can continue from where GiveDirectly will stop.
