How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The final transfer that I just received from the givedirectly program. I'm about to use some to start a business and pay the guys who built my house. I also pay my children's tuition and even buy them some schools material.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did great things for me and my family. they made me have a decent house. However, they help me to accomplish my dream. I have been wishing to have a decent house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
A huge amount of my transfer was used for the completion of my house. Some of my transfer was used for my children's tuition and even bought them a few couples of materials for school. I have to get a few pics of planks to use for roofing. my children were also out of school because I was not working.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been working very hard to earn enough money to complete my house project. It seems almost impossible for me to have achieved my dream due to limited finances. However, when I received my transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought 2 bundles of zinc, 1 carton of nail and 5 bags of cement to complete my building project and move in with my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Everything that GD has done thus far has been upright. GiveDirectly has become a huge blessing to me and my family. I am very pleased with this program because my dreams wouldn't have come close to reality without GiveDirectly's financial assistance.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The house that I live in currently has become very uncomfortable due to limited space. My family size has doubled. Therefore, I have decided to build a bigger house for us to move into. Hence, with my recent transfer, I bought enough building materials to construct a new house. I am very pleased with this opportunity that GiveDirectly has provided me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I feel satisfied that I am able to achieve my dream through GiveDirectly's financial support. My life has improved immensely within the last couples of month. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for impacting my life positively. At the moment all that GD does is in the right direction.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Due to limited space and lack of comfort at my home because of our large family size, I have decided to build a bigger house. I purchased 3 bundles of zinc ($31,500LD). The balance portion of my transfer was used to pay contractors who were working on my house. I feel so relieved at the moment. GiveDirectly has affected my life positively through their great financial assistance.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my cutting trees when I received a message notification on my phone. At first I ignored it. About twenty minutes later, I heard another message notification on my phone. I stopped working to check what message has come to my phone. When I checked the phone surprisingly it was the mobile money message from GiveDirectly. I so happy and left immediately to tell the news to my wife.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Since I was born I have not slept under zinc house. Besides, this is my first time to hold this amount of money. The biggest difference in my daily life that I have started experiencing since I started recieving payments from GiveDirectly is that I put stop to the thatch cutting because of the zinc I am going to buy to zinc my house. Moreover, I will be able to pay my children's school fees in full this school year.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The roof of my house no longer holds the rain waters like before. During the rainy season my bed usually gets wet from the leakages in the roof. Now that I have this amount of money, I will buy zinc with the recent transfer I received. I believe that when my husband is covered with zinc instead of thatch I will have a better sleep at night when ever it is raining.
