What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase two cows worth 700,000 ugx and two plots of land which are valued at 1,000,000 ugx but I deposited 600,000 ugx. The balance of 450,000 ugx I spent it on hosting my in-laws and visitors during my marriage ceremony.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly has done so well to give me cash transfers uplifted me in that I was able to buy cows that I used to marry my wife. On the otherhand personally there is no bad thing that give directly has faulted.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There is a big transformation in my life. I was able to pay my dowry and even acquire two plots of land that I am now cultivating. This has been possible because of the cash transfer that give directly sent to me. I would not have acquired all these had I not received the cash transfer.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
when I received my first transfer, I was able to purchase three cows worth 1,380,000Ugx that I intend to use as bride price for marrying, purchased two iron sheets at 70,000Ugx and also purchased four goats at 200,000Ugx. The balance of 150,000Ugx was spent on purchasing food for the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received my first transfers, I was full of joy for the support that I received from Give Directly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that there is now peace in my family between me and my wife, not forgetting my in-laws because they are a ware that I have bought animals for marrying their daughter which they are coming to pick on the 2nd February, 2018.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face is lack of land to culitivate.My family is therefore gets little crop produce every year that can not cater for the family's basic needs like feeding and good health care.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is afternoon hours. This is when i chat and smile with my family.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means i will use it to build a permanent iron roofed house. This will help me cut cost incured in renovating grassthatched roof after every two year. My family there after shall be in position to save money for feeding and other household improvement like buying untensils.
