i spent my third transfer buying building materials that I used to build a new house after the old one I used to stay in worn out being that I was using it as a kitchen too. I am now happy I have a kitchen and a nice house too, separately. Moreover, am thankful for the money.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying a cow at 20,000 KES, one and half sacks of maize at 8,000 KES, a mattress at 4,500 KES, a solar lamp at 3,000 KES, built an iron roofed kitchen at 12,000 KES, then used the rest of the cash on clothes, shoes and food for my children.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Am no longer spending money on kerosene because I have a solar lamp hence my children can easily study at night without worries of running out of paraffin as before, and am also hopeful of milking my own cow hence I'll soon be taking milk tea.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I used part of it to buy dry maize at 6000 KES and used the rest of the money to pay labor charge for ploughing my garden in readiness for maize planting.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so relieved the moment I received the money, because my family was starving by then since I had no money and our stock of food was depleted.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to buy food with the transfers since we face food insecurity for poor harvest and lack of good income to help buy food. I also plan to buy livestock since I have had experience managing some for somebody and so I believe I can well manage mine.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that through group saving and loaning which I participate in, I have been able to raise funds and bought myself a bed and seats for my house and now my visitors can find what to sit on.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We are experiencing a dry spell now that has made food scarce. With no stable income source, finding food is the biggest hardship I face in life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am most happy at night since that is when I can have some rest and sleep.
