How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since the day I cemented my house, its now more comfortable to live in. It is also cool and no dust. Additionally, this days, our child have peaceful study time since we no longer fail to pay his school fees in time. I am very hopeful that he will pass in their exams as they prepare for a bright future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
From the negative point of view, GD does not do anything wrong. Actually all the good things are attributed to this organization. Giving us unconditional cash for our own use is something that we are all proud of.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the entire transfers in procurement of materials which were used in cementing my house. The floor had been dusty, which made the stay uncomfortable, but when I cemented it, its more comfortable and cool to stay in it.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be able to offset a loan that I borrowed from a financial institution .This will give me an opportunity to take another loan to boost my businesses.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening. This is when I sit and relax after the day's activities. This gives me peace of mind.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is the challenges that come along with businesses.I remember one time that I used to buy and sell maize and I almost drowned while I was crossing a river during a rainy season. The river swept away five donkeys carrying maize but I survived. The maize business collapsed. This business is what had made me drop out of school which I regret to date. However I am still a business man despite the challenges that come along with business especially in such an area with low income.
