Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy when I received my transfer. This meant so much to me. I am so grateful for this blessing received from GD.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
So much has changed. I have managed to buy things I couldn't have bought on my own. I have managed to buy iron sheets, Mattress and enough food for the family. I also managed to pay school fees for my secondary school child. Really, I appreciate GD for this. Raising school fees was challenging.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money I received to buy 13 iron sheets. I am planning to build a house when the rainy season is over. I have a child who is in form 4 at a secondary school. I have been struggling to pay school fees for him. I took MK 50 000 to settle his fees balance. I also used the money to buy matress. I have a nice sleeping place now. I also used the money to buy a door and a door frame. Not only that but also 5 bags of maize for food processing.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Buying ironsheet to improve the roof of my house and maize to feed my family is what receiving this money means to me, my husband goes to the lake but the fish that he brings home or to the market is no longer enough for us or to bring enough money so I would like to buy food and ironsheet so my house should stand for more years to come
