Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy when I received this money, because I have been sleeping in a house that is been in a deplorable condition for over five years. So, I struggled on many days to renovate the roof of my house but to no avail. Now that I have received this money, I'm going to fulfill some of my financial problems.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
There is great difference in my daily life since I received this money as compared to befoe. I was unable to renovate the roof of my house, because I couldn't afford to do it. I'm now sleeping on good matress and my children are wearing good clothes amongst their friends. Many thanks to GiveDirectly for giving me the opportunity to be part of this program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of metal sheet and nails to improve the roof of my house. I bought one matress with some clothes and furnitures for our household used.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"My family has been greatly challenged when it comes to obtaining cash. My husband does a lot of physical work which has caused him to decline in body. I myself have to produce kernel oil and take it to the market just to buttress his efforts. If we are opportuned to receive this cash grant, my family and I plan starting a business with the money. Proceeds from the business will help us send our children to school, provide health care for our family and improve the quality of the house we live in."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" I'm one person who experience difficulty during delivery. As God could have it, I safely gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on the 13th of April this year. Many at times in our village, due to no access to health facility, some people loose their children and in some cases, the mother loose her own life during delivery, but I safely gave birth to my son. This brought me great joy."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The major challenges my family is currently faced with are food and money. Many days my husband has to carry log (Timber) for people in other to get some money for food. Some days we barely get food for the family, neighbors of good will at times help me with food just to be able to breastfeed our 5 months old baby. "
