Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
the greatest difference is that now I have a cow and happy to take tea with milk. before we use to take tea without milk. I have seen even my health has improve having milk to take.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect that I will be having milk from my cows and will be selling some to buy other basic needs.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently am so happy looking after the cow which I bought with GD money. I currently have milk for use which we didn't have before we got the money.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My goal is to add one more cow so that we can get more milk for sale.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I worked as a casual labourer for a very long time. This is because I never had any other alternative means of survival. Being the sole provider in a family of nine children was not an easy task for me. The biggest hardship I ever experienced was the time when I had my two daughters in highschool. Balancing between providing for the family and paying school fees was a really difficult experience. I struggled day in day out to make ends meet and I thank God because I succeeded at last.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up strong and healthy. I am particularly happy when all my family members are happy too.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to use part of my part of my transfer in starting poultry keeping as a business. I also have plans of buying a dairy cow that will help us as a family.I will use the remaining amount to least land and cultivate it.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I have been able to educate my two daughters all through their secondary education. This is one of the greatest achievements that am really proud of.
