How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I no longer buy things from the shop on credit. This is because I have been able to diversify my sources of income. Also, I no longer buy milk as I used before. I was rearing a traditional cow whose milk production was low previously but I have now acquired a crossbreed cow whose milk production is a bit high.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal for the next four months is to plant onions on a large scale after harvesting beans. By doing so, I will harvest them in January when the demand is high. I will use the income from this to pay for my children's school fees. In addition to this, I am planning to start a business of buying and selling milk at my locality. I will use the profits from this business to meet my family needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to plant livestock feeds on my farm. Due to this, there is a continuous supply of feeds to my livestock throughout the year. This will ensure a constant supply of milk to my family even during the dry seasons.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I foresee a change in my life in the next six months. I will have cleared my children's school fees using the income I will get from the sale of onions. This will enable them to study well without any interruptions thus their performance will improve.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I have managed to permanently solve one of the biggest challenges I have been facing with my cattle; which is a shortage of livestock feeds. With the transfer which I recently received from Give Directly, I was able to plant some Boma Rhodes grass. I am planning to make hay once I harvest the grass. This I will come in handy especially when the dry season sets in.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to lease a piece of land so that I can carry out my farming activities. I have the intention of planting a species of beans that have been on high demand for quite some time now. I already have the required inputs. I am only saving money that would be enough to lease land and cater to all the processes entailed in the planting of this type of beans.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The greatest difference in the past four months ever since I started receiving transfers from Give Directly is that I can now plan and achieve my goals. Since the money comes every month it is easy to plan and budget with it. I recently upgraded my dairy farm. I bought a few tools and feeds for my dairy cattle. I know their milk production will improve. This means my life will also improve with time. Previously, I couldn't plan and be sure of whether I would or would not achieve the plans due to unreliable sources of income.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would like to start a business. Milk is what is available within my locality, I believe this would be a nice venture if I will start buying it from farmers and selling it at a nearby town with a fair price. The profit which I will earn from it will enable me to meet my family needs.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My father passed on while I had just started my secondary education. Everything came to a stand still and I thought I would never advance my education as I had always desired. I had to struggle on my own to ensure that my education was not cut short. I never imagined that I would go to college and up to this far is God.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening. This is the time that I can relax and look back at my days activities and be happy with the family.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend most of my transfers in advancing my farming practices. I also have plans of using the transfers in starting a poultry keeping project.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
For a long time I had always desired to own my own piece of land. I started saving money with the hope that one day I would make this dream come through. Today, I am a proud man having acquired land where my family can settle in and make some investments in it.
