How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I find it easy to pay tuition for my children compared to the stress I had before.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well by empowering communities through giving economic unconditional cash transfers. On the other hand, Give Directly needs to give top up transfers to families which have not completed projects which were started with cash transfers.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfers, I have rented an acre of farm land at 100,000ugx for cultivation of crops in order to improve on household food security. I also bought four plastic chairs worth 100,000ugx in order to improv on my standard of living. I intend to spend 1,000,000ugx for paying tuition for my son who is pursuing a nursing course. My house had been lacking basic utensils like a flask, plates and cups which I bought using 133,000ugx. I have also kept 200,000ugx for buyinhg two piglets and start a small scale business of buying and selling ripe bananas. The balance of 100,000ugx was stolen in my house by unknown person.
