How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The only goal that I ever had was to build a house and send my children to school.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before I could receive my transfer, my children has not been going to school since 2019 because I could not afford to pay their tuition but with the help of Give Directly transfer, I was able to enroll them in school.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy when I received this money. Because I have never received huge amount of money like this in my life before. This money came at the right time because I was worried about how to raise money for my children school fees. My wife had just delivered with a baby girl I didn't have money to pay her hospital bills. As God could have it, I received this money from GiveDirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
This money solved most of major financial problems which brought some changes in to my daily life. It has reduced some of my financial burdens that was too much stressful for me. The first thing I bought with some of my money is a bundle of zinc for my new house projects that I will be starting soon. I paid two of my children's school fees with some of the money. I also paid my wife's hospital bills, because she give birth to a baby girl and I bought food for our upkeep.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Where my family and I live presently is not our own house. If I receive the cash transfer, I will build a decent structure for my family and I. Also inorder to support my family, I will establish a business which will be taken care of by my wife.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The arrival of GiveDirectly in our community few days ago brought so much joy to me. We have been in great need of assistance in our village, and I strongly believe that GiveDirectly can affect our lives positively.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The greatest challenge I have presently is the issue of housing. Where my family and I live presently is not our own. We are staying in a family house which is not big enough to accommodate my children and I.
