Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I dress decently compared to the past when I could hardly afford a new shirt. I also bought a pair of oxen which will boost my labour force. I feel socially free in the community because the cash transfers have transformed my standards of living.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received the cash transfer. I had very many obligations to fulfill which I could not undertake in the past.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first cash transfer to purchase a pair of oxen worth UGX1350000 and a bed worth UGX110000. I bought a mattress worth UGX100000 and bed sheets worth UGX20000 and curtains worth UGX12000. I spent the balance to pay off debts.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will buy oxen and ox-plough for ploughing. Iam currently relying on borrowed labour for cultivation purposes and there are always delays hence I plant at later stages of the season. This makes me realise low crop harvests which can not sustain the households needs. Owning oxen and ox-plough , I will be able to practice earlier cropping hence may lead to better harvests. If there is improvement in crop production, my house will no go have food shortages.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is evening hours. I spent this time relaxing my mind through playing football at Kotoikot primary school play ground.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is inadequate money for carrying out farming yet this is my source of earning. I plant late because of borrowing labour like oxen and this has always resulted in to poor crop production. I have therefore fail ed to sustain most of my household needs.
