Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
With the GiveDirectly transfers that I received, I was able to buy a solar panel that gives my house bright light. I purchased a bicycle that has eased movement. Prior to getting this money, I was using a bulb connected to dry cells to provides light at night which was expensive. I majorly, walked on foot wherever I wanted to go and once in a while I could board a motorbike at a cost.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I became so happy, I could not begin spending the money immediately because the excitement was too much. I gave my self a period of a week to calm down.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for starting up a construction project of an iron roofed house which is at the window level. I bought a solar panel, battery and it's bulb, a bicycle, shoes, kitchen utensils and clothes.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan is to spend the money for building iron-roofed house. Iam staying in a very small grass thatched house with all the property hence is too much congested. The whole family members are not comfortable while in it . Givedirectly money will enable me raise a better spacious house, where the family members and property do not share.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is afternoon hours. I finalise preparing food for my children and immediately after completing eating, they start playing. I relax resting in my house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of enough money. This has resulted to lack of some basic needs like proper education and clothing in my home. I have also failed to acquire some assets like oxen that would facilitate cultivation hence lack of adequate food for my family members.
