Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, my target is to expand my poultry house. This I am planning to do since I have set a target of keeping up to 100 chicken going forward. With this number of chicken, I am sure that we will be having enough income to meet all our family's expenses with much ease and invest in other meaningful development projects for the general welfare of the family.

The biggest difference in my daily life that has occurred over the last four months is the newly built kitchen that I was able to put up. I took part in a merry go round that saw me build this kitchen and improve our home as a whole. I have also been able to improve my poultry keeping business over this time and right now I have up to 50 chicken that has transformed my life a lot. I am looking forward to making more investments with the transfers that will see my life transform as well.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start a poultry project. I am always worried that I will be stranded when GiveDirectly stops sending us the transfers. I am planning to save my transfers so that I start a poultry business. Since there is a high demand of chicken in this region, I am sure to I will have a continued source of income even after Give Directly have finished their program in this region.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I feel happy because I was able to settle one of my most pressing needs. I managed to build a more spacious and durable kitchen. I used to live in an old leaking grass-thatched hut that leaked a lot during the rainy season. I always dreaded rainy seasons because it always made staying in the house quite uncomfortable. My family has suffered a lot because of this kitchen and I am greatly relieved after accomplishing this goal.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to invest well and live a more comfortable life. I also want to improve my lifestyle by building a better house and buying a water tank. This will reduce the number of resources that goes into these activities. Generally, want to have an improved life now that I am getting old and Give Directly are also almost finishing their projects in this village.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am a mother who primarily depends on farming to meet my family needs ranging from my children school fees, household expenditures and emergencies arising in the family. I had always worked so hard to meet these but since farming take a longer time to mature and the returns depend on unpredictable weather and fluctuating price in the market making it an unstable source of income. I used to miss some of the basic needs due to lack of enough resource. Paying school fees for my children was somehow pressing for me to clear on time hence could sell most of our farm product to pay which could lead to less food to take us to the next harvest season. I used to spend a lot on food and even miss when I had no money. My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that, I currently enjoy enough balance diet food since we buy what I cannot produce in my farm or when we have exhausted our yields. I have built a decent iron roofed house hence my children have a good place to spend their night and this my happiness too since they are no longer exposed to the risk of living in an old crack house that had allowed to be rained on. I live a happy and peaceful life currently than before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am growing old and I cannot participate in casual jobs like before hence meeting my daily expenses are becoming hard for me that I only depend on farming which takes longer to mature. I have a new goal in my life of improving my poultry farming by adding more chickens and build them a good house since this is affordable for me to improve and maintained. I love poultry farming since I can easily manage at my age and will be a source of daily income and household food which is a major task for me currently.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
As a mother of a household with a major source of income being farming, meeting all the family needs become a challenge. I am growing old and getting less energetic for casual jobs like before. I have children in various school that I strive to pay their school fees on time hence I always sell my farm product to pay for. I had an old grass thatched house that my daughters spend their nights in I used it as a kitchen too. It was old and had started cracking on the walls and also grass had peeled off hence we could be rained on making it unfit and unsafe for our lives. I had a goal to build a better house but due to lack of enough resources and overwhelming family needs, I never made it. The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding my current transfer is the decent Iron roofed house I built after I received lumpsum money from merry go round that I joined when I started receiving the monthly transfer from GD. I am so happy I have a good and spacious kitchen and nice living room for my kids where they stay safe every night. I am thankful to GD for the far and am proud of my house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to be better than now in the next six months in that I will have improved my poultry farming and I will be earning more from egg sales. Through this, I will always afford enough and balanced the diet for my family hence I see a healthier family in the next six months. With merry go round, I am currently participating in I expect to use the lump sum money I will receive to pay my children school fees, on my household basic needs and items and invest the remaining on other income generating activities.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that my children have a good place to sleep and also I cook food on time because of the better kitchen that I have built. Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfers is that I have built a better and spacious kitchen. Before I used to cook in a leaking house and when it rains it was a big problem because I could wait for long until the rain was over so that I can start cooking. This was so tedious because my children sleep sometimes until late at night without food because there was nowhere to cook, because of the leaking house. Nowadays I cook without fear of rain because I have a better kitchen which is not leaking. My children also have a good place to sleep. Before they could sleep in the leaking house and it was very cold for them and the risk getting flu. At times when I had visitors they could not get a place to sleep but nowadays I have a spacious room. I am so happy with this support.
