Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money to buy a heifer. Sometimes I buy milk and its so expensive for me. My plan to cut this cost is to save and buy a heifer because I will get milk when it reproduces.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am able to buy seeds and fertilizers and do planting on time. I used to depend on casual jobs in the village before I felt sick and unable to work. The money that I could get was so small and could not gather for the basic needs and farm inputs at the same time. I used to plant late and this was resulting in poor harvest. My family could not have enough to eat at that particular time. Currently, I am able to prepare my farm early enough before the planting season. I am also able to buy seeds and fertilizers and I always get a good harvest now and my family has plenty to eat. I sell the surplus at the market to meet additional needs for the family. We are so much grateful for this support it has changed our standard of living.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I would have also saved to buy a water tank. Getting water for domestic use at home is so tedious since we have to walk for a long distance.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am glad I am able to buy medicine that I am required to take regularly. I was almost giving up on myself because I previously couldn't afford the prescribed medicineand this lead to deterioration of my health. I am happy that I am strong because of thesemedcine that was made possible by the transfers. I am also glad I am able to cultivate my farm just like I used do when my spouse was still alive. I also able been able to meet my daily needs needs such as food.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My son's education comes first before anything else. Once I have settled his expenses, I am planning to save some money and buy a water tank. I want to start harvesting rainwater. I currently spend quite a lot of money to buy water since where we fetch is very far. I will be able to save a lot once I buy a water reservoir.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that my daughter has enrolled to further her studies in a tertiary institution. Before GiveDirectly came, she had stayed at home for three years after completing her secondary school education due to inadequate finances and despite this situation, she was always optimistic that one day she would further her studies. The saying that says God's time is the best was her motivator hence I was aspired as well and persistently saved part of the transfer in our merry go round savings group to make her long desired goal come true.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to start poultry keeping project in the next for months. First, I intend to build a poultry cope. This project will help me earn an extra income apart from the one I am getting from my farming initiative.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that there has been a constant supply of food to feed my family which I never expected after my accident because my self-esteem was weighed down in terms of facing my struggles in life. With the transfer, I have majorly invested in cultivating my farm despite the fact that I no longer do heavy work due to the accident I had. Facilitating my farm's operations have been efficient by delegating duties through hiring workers using the transfers from GiveDirectly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have built poultry cope for keeping commercial poultry with part of the saved transfers in my merry go round group. Therefore I will use the profits from this project to finance my daughter's education.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I am now able to pay my hospital check up bills using my transfers. I was involved in a road accident and broke my leg and I have been going for monthly medical check ups for the last one year. My son and daughter used to struggle to pay my medical bills with the little money they earn from casual work and at times I could fail or even delay to go for the check up and this affected my health so much. Thank you GD for the support since I can now go for regular check ups and my health condition has really improved.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal for the next four months is to drill a borehole. This is because currently we are buying water for household and livestock use which is very expensive. I am planning to save part of my monthly transfers and get support from my son and use it to drill the borehole. This will thus ensure continuous and adequate water supply for my family and my children will no longer struggle buying water and will save more money to cater for other family needs.
