How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I also spent some of the money on buying maize thus I have enough stock. I thank Give Directly I have enough food for my family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The additional goals for my life for the next four months is to buy a goat for rearing. I thought of a goat because they are easy to look after and they multiply very fast. They will also act as financial security thus I can sell them when I have any financial crisis in the future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
We have been lacking a latrine for a longer period of, this is because I lacked the capital to build one. It has been hectic every now an again going to a neighbors latrine. Therefore when I started receiving money from Give Directly I saved for a few months. I identified hardware near my home and took the money there for some time because I knew I could use the money at some point. When I was ready to start the building work, I looked for latrine builders, they gave me the quotation and went an ahead and picked building materials. I paid them and they did perfect work. The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is owning a latrine.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I have acquired so many things in the past few months. First, I have been able to clear the outstanding fee balance my child had in school and I am glad the child now has ample time concentrating on the studies which will help her pass her exams. Second, I was able to buy building materials that I used to renovate my house wall which had some dents caused by the rains. Lastly, I can brag that my children and I can afford three healthy meals daily unlike before when we used to only eat one meal a day.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to save and start up a small business that would help in raising daily income for the family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have bought building materials like sand and cement that I used to plaster my house. My house is now in a good state now compared to when it was washed off with rains because it was semi-permanent. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for making my dream come true.

In the six months, I shall have started the small business to help in generating income for the family upkeep. I also look forward to venturing into livestock rearing for the financial security of the family. How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different than it was four months ago because I am always able to acquire some household items that I did not have before. I have bought a suitcase bag for keeping my clothes thus they are currently kept safely and not exposed to dust. My clothes are always neat, well straightened thus I am always smart on them. Prior to buying a suitcase bag, I was always ashamed of putting on my clothes because they were not well kept.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to plaster my son's house which is currently not in good condition. The house was previously damaged by rains since my son joined college before his house was fully completed. I shall, therefore, use part of the transfers and other earnings to buy some bags of cement and sand for renovating it. It will thus be strong and long-lasting.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months preceding the current transfers, the biggest difference in my daily life is being able to acquire school stationeries for my children. The transfers from GiveDirectly have greatly helped me since I do not need to borrow or ask someone to support me. In the past, it was hard even to raise 1000 KES in a month hence there were some school stationeries which I could not buy for my children.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to buy sheep and some chicken which I will keep for my financial security. I shall also be able to raise more livestock from these animals in the future. This will not only be of help to me but will also be a remembrance of the support I have been receiving from GiveDirectly.
