What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used the money to build a new house for my family since the structure that I had before was too small to accommodate the size of the family that I had by then. Today, I can proudly say that everyone enjoys his privacy within the house. Apart from that, I also bought a brand new sewing machine which I have been using to carry out my job just within this locality in order to make sure that I earn my daily bread.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I believe the organization has excelled in helping the needy in the society especially people like me who had no ability to build a house of that nature and others who have used the money to benefit themselves in several different ways.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I used the money to buy my own sewing machine which I have been using to do my work operations within this locality. Today I am able to make my own cash long after the transfers were stopped, which means my life continues as usual and my family enjoys a good life courtesy of the machine that I bought using the transfers from GD.
