Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I didn't know the money had arrived until one of my brothers traveled to the network area to call. In the process of making a call, he received the message about the transfer. When he came back, he spread the news to everyone. I went to the network area to confirm the good news. and it was actually true that Givedirectly sent us money. The next day, my wife and I went to withdraw to purchase zinc for our planned projects we had in mind.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I did not have money or plans on building a house, but with the help of Givedirectly I'm now planning on building my own house. I plan on gaining more skills at hunting. and I want to start my own investment in producing cocoa plantations.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My spouse and I live alone with my parents in the same house.Normally, we don't have privacy and we are not too comfortable being in the same house. I have a plan in place for getting our own house. So we bought two bundles of zinc in order to fulfil our greatest desires to become a home owner.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will purchase 3 dozens of zinc, pay for 3500 dirt bricks and other materials for the construction of a three bedroom house and invest into my cocoa farm if I received the cash transfer from GiveDirectly. I am a soncondary school dropped-out and a fisherman. Only fishing activity and substance farming I do to substain my family. In order to have a decent dwelling place as a result of GiveDirectly intervention , I will use $ 100,000 to gather all the needed materials for the construction projects while I use the balance $ 50,000 to improve my cocoa plantation.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Our access to food supply over the past two months is our biggest joy and happiness as a family. In the process of awaiting the harvesting time, we have been into food purchasing for about five months ago. Now that we can use our little earning from the fishing to settle of other family's problem, we are happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Finance is my main hardship I am going through presently. I am still dwelling in my father's old thatch house. It has not been my desire to be in the same house with my mother and father while I have a family too but due to no capability to build a house for my own family, I have to accept it. I am fisherman and a farmer hoping to develop myself when my plantation riches it's harvesting time. I am happy for the presence of GiveDirectly in our community today.
