Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was excited when I received my transfer. I was at home and heard some of my neighbours shouting in excitement. When I check my phone then I saw the message.I'm a farmer. Living in my family house. Things have been hard on us. Catering to my family needs have been challenging. Thank God through GiveDirectly my family will have a better life free of poverty.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly is that I'm now stress free. I feel more relaxed. As the head of my home, living in poverty is very heartbreaking. Grateful for this opportunity. I can now afford to feed my family and cater to their needs. Our lives will improve. Hopefully, after receiving all of the transfers we will never live in poverty again.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I'm a farmer. Living in a family house is very challenging. Things have been hard on us. I've been wishing to build a new house. Unfortunately, due to the lack of funds I have not been able. I am so grateful for this opportunity. I was overwhelmed when I received my transfer.Hopefully, after receiving all of the transfers we will have a better life. I used some of my money to buy some food items. I also spent some at the hospital to get my sick child treated. I used a little amount to buy zinc. When I receive rest of the transfers I will add up the zinc and buy some other materials to build my house.
