How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I feel happy that my son has a wife to handle house chores. My business of selling dry fish helps to support life especially feeding at home. Before, life was stressful especially cooking for my son whenever I return from work tired, and with no source of money, life was stressful seeing others earning through business and yet you have no capacity to do the same.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well because I have noticed things that I never imagined to see changes, like my son getting a wife, more households happy with a few squabbles. There's nothing it hasn't done well since almost everybody is happy in the village.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
That second transfer was spent to marry my son a wife, by buying two cows and two goats, pay pride price. Then bought household items like bed-sheets, utensils, and cloth. The rest of the balance went on feeding, especially while hosting the in-laws.
