How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed so much to the point that I never imagined. I got married to a beautiful wife for over 30 years but we have never slept on a matress or a bed. Furthermore I have never slept on iron roofed house. It was just a dream that I never thought it will never come true taken from my old age. But with the transfer, all my dreams came to reality and I was able to build a house and to buy some furniture that I am gladly say I have assets. For the first time in my life, I and my wife we are sleeping on a very comfortable bed with good beddings. If I die today, I will die a happy man because of GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I really liked the procedure that GD used by giving the cash transfer directly to us the beneficiary if it was to pass through government officials it wouldn't have reached us as it was now.
